Individual French walnut and ormalu bed with shaped foot board. Individual detailing in the timber with panels in the foot board and ormalu decoration; a handsome centre piece. We can supply hand made bases and mattresses so that the get into bed height would be in proportion with the original design and enable you to see over the foot board when sat in the bed.

Bedsteads are offered in natural wood finishes, a wide range of paint effects or can be hand polished to work with your existing furniture.

Walnut wood

Walnut is the primary hardwood for some of the finest antique furniture.
The wood is moderately heavy, very strong, and exceptionally stable. The colour varies from light gray-brown to dark purplish-brown, patterns from plain to highly figured.
The wood is readily polished and develops a rich patina that grows more lustrous with age.
