Delightful All Iron Celtic/Irish Double in Soft Pink

Another lovely example of an Irish antique iron bed. A nicely shaped diamond sits centrally in the head and foot panels connected by reed strip ironwork. Very pretty bow shaped castings and clamps. Hand pain finished in a lovely soft, earthy pink tone, Little Greene’s Nether Red with the gentlest touch of dark wax to protect and give a soft sheen. Fully restored to be sturdy, practical and beautiful. Whole frame cleaned and tested for durability. Shot blasted and primed prior to hand paint finish. All joints checked for secure fit. Suitable for standard double mattress 4’6” x 6’3” / 135cm x 190cm. Price includes wood slats (sorry not mattress). As an alternative to the wood slats we can supply mini box bases for superior mattress support and to raise the get into bed height. The bed is photographed on slats with our Bordeaux mattress.
