American Federal Four Poster Double Bed fashioned from mahogany and originating from the USA in the early Nineteenth century. The back has a subtle curve backboard with scroll ends and elegantly turned posts. The footboard has simple curved shape with timber button details on cross rail. All four posts terminate in turned feet. Originally there would have been an arched wooden canopy - this no longer exists, but this does not deflect from the quality of the piece. This bed accepts a standard double, 4ft 6in x 6'3" or 140cm x 190cm mattress size.
