Beautiful king size plum pudding mahogany with elaborate ormalu king size bed in the manner of the Paris maker Mercier. Tapered spiral posts in foot with beautiful detail ormalu foliate spiral decoration. Oval bombe panel in foot with ribbon and floral ormalu garland. Fluted posts at head end with vine ormalu inlay decoration and Corinthian column tops and pineapple knobs. Lovely flora and foliate central decoration in head.The bed has been painstakingly restored; French polished and ormalu cleaned to preserve the natural patina and beautiful colouring in the figured wood and ormalu. Side rails adapted to support modern length king size mattress 150cm x 200cm. Very sweet matching oval pot cupboard with fluted legs with Corinthian tops matching the bed and floral decoration on the door. Porcelain inside and green/grey marble top.
