Handsome classic Victorian super king size black and brass bed with lovely detail in decorative castings made by Maple and co. Original badge still visible on cross rail. Brass top and bottom rail, knobs, collars, knees and feet with two brass rail supports topped with brass joiner. Original porcelain castors.The bed has been professionally restored with rails extended and central support made to support modern size super king size mattress 6' x 6'6" / 180cm x 200cm. The jigsaw corner joints have been checked for good fit and the whole frame has been shot blasted and primed prior to hand finish in Little Greene paint company Jet black and which has been waxed to preserve. Lovely aged brass has been cleaned to preserve. Overall length 211cm Price includes wood slats As an alternative to the wood slats we can supply 2" mini box base for £295 as used for photograph.
