A very nice iron and brass Victorian bedstead with a row of original brass disks which have a gently floral shape/design, and original collars and knobs, all in good condition. The castings which surround the brass disks have really nice shaping and add to the overall charm and appeal of this bed. Fully restored to be sturdy, practical and beautiful. Whole frame cleaned and tested for durability. Shot blasted and primed prior to hand paint finish in Farrow and Ball’s Hague Blue, waxed over to protect and give a soft sheen. All joints checked for secure fit. Suitable for standard king size mattress 5’ x 6’6” x 150cm x 200cm Price includes wood slats (sorry not mattress). As an alternative to the wood slats, we can supply platform and sprung bed bases for superior mattress support and to raise the get into bed height. The bed is photographed on a 2” bed base with our Bordeaux mattress. We can supply hand-made mattresses in all comfort choices, and also with zip and link connections.
