A lovely and Sturdy looking bed with nicely thick 2” posts and decent sized castings with attractive shaping. Lovely decorative foliate inspired clamps. Overall, very nice proportions on this classic straight rail style Victorian bed. Absolutely gorgeous brass ring detail in the foot end, always a very popular style. Fully restored to be sturdy, practical and beautiful. Whole frame cleaned and tested for durability. Shot blasted and primed prior to hand paint finish in Little Greene’s Knightsbridge, waxed over to protect and give a soft sheen and tonal variation. All joints checked for secure fit. Suitable for standard king size mattress 5’ x 6’6” / 150cm x 200cm Price includes wood slats (sorry not mattress or curtains). As an alternative to the wood slats, we can supply mini box bases for superior mattress support and to raise the get into bed height. The bed is photographed on a 2” base with our Bordeaux mattress.
