Lovely kiKing size caned and painted bed and pair of bedsides

This impressive king suite consists of a king size bed, and two bedsides. The king size bed is lower height so ideal for attic type room. It features caning on the head and foot end which is in good condition, and has a pretty ombre effect of a pastel turquoise colouring fading to an off white/cream colour. These colourings work particularly well with the gilt detailing on the ornate foliate carvings which feature throughout the suite. The foot of the bed features a central cornucopia in carved beaded surround, the head features an oval bead carving detail with floral wreath, flanked by decorative carved wings with foliate detailing. Fluted columns and floral detailing throughout the suite, all carved wood detail is highlighted with gilding. Original decorative brass drawer pulls and escutions on the bedsides, these have marble tops that have been lovingly repaired. The bed is Kingsize and will take a 150cm x 200cm mattress internally so as to not breach the height of the foot end.
