Original French upholstered Lit Bateau style bed with carved wood framed and deep buttoned velvet upholstery. Frame has has been cleaned and waxed to preserve the naturally aged patina.Good quality construction. Original fabric is intact and has been cleaned; some wear on top roll of foot board. If you would prefer to have the bed reupholstered in fabric supplied by you please contact us for a quotation. Suitable for double mattress 4'6" x 6'3"/140cm x190cm Price includes wood slats (sorry not mattress) As an alternative to the wood slats we can supply a 2" deep upholstered mini box base (Used in photograph). We can also supply hand made mattresses in all comfort choices . Please ask for details or look at mattress section of our own web site. Bedsteads have been sourcing, restoring and retailing antique beds and bedroom furniture for over 30 years.
