Pleasing All Iron Irish Double

This attractive Irish bed had really attractive clamps, connected to the central casting with reed strip iron. Good decorative detail in castings and clamps. A lovely lower height in the head end and overall feel of the bed. Very pleasing to the eye. Lovely shaping to the head end, the curved corners soften the overall feel of the bed making the perfect balance between being handsome yet pretty. Professionally restored to be sturdy and practical, the frame has been shot blasted, primed and hand painted with Little Greene’s Light Bronze Green, with touches of Sage, dark waxed to preserve. The side rails have been strengthened and adapted to support wood slats or a bed base. Suitable for mattress size 4'6" x 6'3" / 135cm x 190cm Price includes wood slats (Sorry not mattress). As an alternative to the wood slats we can supply a 2” or 4” deep upholstered bed base – Bed photographed on slats. We can also supply hand-made mattresses in all comfort choices.
