Spectacular French solid walnut king size bed with fluted columns, turned and fluted feet. Pleasing carved floral and foliate wreath on the central panel of the head end with Corinthian style carvings either side. This bed features an attractive and practical No / Low end, a good space saving option if wanting the grandeur of a wooden Empire style bed without the ‘bulk’ of a tall foot end. (Can also be used for stepping into bed!) Lovely figuring and patina within the timber. The bed has been professionally restored, French polished and side rails extended to suit modern length king size mattress 5’ x 6’6” / 153cm x 200cm. Price includes a wood slat base (sorry not mattress) As an alternative to the wood slats we can supply mini box bases for superior mattress support and to raise the get into bed height. 2" platform base used for photograph.
