Absolutely gorgeous French bed with very nice brass details. The head end has two incredibly attractive brass ovals, with a delightful cross pattern on it, designed to look like brass mounts often seen on armoire corners. This hammer chased pattern and detailing is carried through the rest of the brass ornamentation, featuring on all of the rod ends, caps and finals/knobs. All of the brass is original, aside from the top rail. Fully restored to be sturdy, practical and beautiful. Whole frame cleaned, restored and tested for durability. All joints checked for secure fit. Shot blasted and primed prior to hand paint finish in Little Greene’s Sage Green. Whole bed gently dark waxed over to protect and give a soft sheen and tonal variation. All of our beds can be re-painted in any colour of your choosing. As an alternative to the wood slats, we can supply platform and sprung bed bases for superior mattress support and to raise the get into bed height.
