A very handsome bed indeed. Lovely shaping on the head end, with a particularly attractive central crest. Fluted posts with acanthus themed finials. The foot end also has nice fluting and acanthus finals and has been adapted into what we call a low end, making the perfect bed for those who love the grandeur of wooden furniture, but may be a bit tight on space or have a smaller room. Professionally restored to be sturdy, practical, and beautiful. Suitable for standard UK double mattress size 4’6 x 6’3” / 135cm x 190cm. Price includes wood slats (Sorry not mattress). As an alternative to the wood slats we can supply a 2” or 4” deep upholstered bed base – Bed photographed with slatted base. We can also supply hand-made mattresses in all comfort choices.
