Very Nice Classic Straight Rail Victorian Iron and Brass

A lovely example of a classic Victorian straight rail bed. Lovely Castings and central upstand with nice shaping. The brass has been cleaned and highlighted. Fully restored to be sturdy, practical and beautiful. Whole frame cleaned and tested for durability. Shot blasted and primed prior to hand paint finish in Little Greene’s Jack Black, waxed over to protect and give a soft sheen. All joints checked for secure fit. Suitable for standard king size mattress 5’ x 6’6” / 150cm x 200cm Price includes wood slats (sorry not mattress or curtains). As an alternative to the wood slats, we can supply mini box bases for superior mattress support and to raise the get into bed height. The bed is photographed on a 2” base with our Canterbury mattress. We can supply hand-made mattresses in all comfort choices, and also with zip and link connections.
