This classic Edwardian dip rail bed is so indicative of beds of this era, a true British style hand painted in a lovely deep dark blue tone, inspired by popular darker hues of the era. Good quality castings, clamps and joints. All original brass and castors. Brass has been cleaned and highlighted to show off naturally aged patina. Professionally restored to be sturdy, practical and beautiful. The frame has been shot blasted, primed and hand painted with Farrow and Ball’s Hague Blue, waxed to protect and give a soft sheen. Suitable for UK mattress size 4’6” x 6’3” / 135cm x 190cm The side rails have been strengthened and adapted to support wood slats or a bed base. Price includes wood slats (Sorry not mattress). As an alternative to the wood slats we can supply a 2” or 4” deep upholstered bed base – Bed photographed on a 2” base and our Bordeaux mattress.
