Large Louis IV style French marble-top, serpentine-front, fruit wood commode. The pink,cream and pink marble top with moulded edge sits over 2 deep drawers with quarter veneered fruit wood shaped panels and marquetry floral detail. It has elaborate rococo handles and escutcheons, and similar inlaid panels to the sides. There is a shaped frieze with ormolu mounts and stands on tapering cabriole legs with ormolu sabots.
